Mothers Should Go Out To Work

For centuries, society has painted an immensely appealing picture of an 'ideal family'- a father who goes out to conquer the professional world, while the mother stays home and 'glues' together the household.
It is a comforting image yet is an outdated relic.
The traditional assumption that a mother’s place is only at home relies on the myth that children suffer if their mother has ambitions. In reality, the benefits of a working mother stretch far beyond the monthly paycheck, reshaping households for the better.
Benifits
In today's economy, relying on a single income can put a family at financial risk. Two incomes provide a safety net against inflation, job loss, or medical emergencies.
Personal Fulfilment
Working allows women to maintain identities, skills, and intellectual passions, which can prevent the isolation and loneliness sometimes felt by full-time stay-at-home parents.
Earning an independent income gives women greater agency, decision-making power within the household, and long-term security.
Dismantling Stereotypes
'Men vs Women'
Why are fingers only pointed at mothers, not fathers?
This is classic gender stereotyping.
Why is history HIS-story? Why not HER-story or OUR-story?
'Children of working mothers suffer emotionally or academically.'
Research shows no negative impact on a child's development, cognitive skills, or long-term happiness based solely on whether a mother works. Quality of time spent together matters far more than total quantity.
'A woman cannot be highly successful at both a career and parenting.'
Success isn't about perfection in both areas every single day; it is about balance.
Effect on Children
Studies show that children, espesially daughters, by observing their mother tackling deadlines and workload; maintaining a balance between work and normal life at home gives the child a role model- an urge to do better.
Statistics also show that immense improvement has occured with children having working mothers compared to stay at home mothers.
I would like to end with a proverb from the times of old yet is still impactful in today's mad rat race of life.
'God created mothers because He could not be everywhere.'
And these mothers should be given the wings to fly.
